Calgary's rent has increased by 13% for one-bedroom apartments and 18% for two-bedroom apartments compared to last year. However, Edmonton has experienced even higher rent growth, with a 27% increase in one-bedroom apartment prices. Vancouver remains the most expensive city for rent, with one-bedroom apartments costing $2,700 per month. Alberta does not have rent control policies, unlike British Columbia, which limits annual rent increases to 3.5%.
