In response to what the City of Calgary has deemed to be a housing crisis, the City Council approved the City of Calgary's Housing Strategy. This strategy sets out 5 outcomes to increase, measure and manage housing and affordability across the housing continuum, and proposes a number of actions to be taken including the allocation of $20M per year to the Housing Land Fund, the disposal of City-owned lands, and the establishment of an incentive program of at least $10,000 per unit for secondary suites.
